Detailed Design
We offer a wide range of civil and structural design services across various sectors ranging from industrial, commercial, multi storey housing and low-rise housing. In addition, we have extensive design and assessment experience in specialist areas, such as the petrochemical industry, inland water based structures, onshore marine structures, and underpinning structures.
Our design processes concentrate on safety, value and robustness throughout the analysis and design process to produce practical and economical structures.
Our assessment processes concentrate on a realistic appraisal of a structure or building allowing clients to make an informed decision on the life cycle management of a structure and determine if refurbishment is practical and economical.
Procurement and Project Management
Equilibrant work closely with our clients to understand their requirements so that we can recommend the most economical solution for the lifecycle management of vital deteriorating infrastructure. Equilibrant carry out the detailed design, oversee procurement and project manage construction works to NEC 3 & 4 contracts.
With our inhouse knowledge and expertise we offer clients a unique “end to end” service from condition appraisals through to detailed design and procurement of repair works and site supervision. This seamless transition between the various phases of a complex repair scheme ensures a coherent approach to the management of the client’s needs and is effective in mitigating potential overspend.
As Principal Designers, Equilibrant have designed, procured and project managed some challenging and interesting structural refurbishment schemes including high rise buildings, marine structures, multistorey carparks, and petrochemical infrastructure with a combined construction value of >£3 million.
Site Supervision
Equilibrant fulfil the role of NEC Supervisor on large complex schemes as well as supervising more traditional repair works. We strive to deliver technical excellence to our clients and adequate site supervision by knowledgeable personnel is fundamental to the successful execution of our designs.
